Excellent for artists of all levels seeking high-volume, affordable oil paint without sacrificing quality, Winton Oil Colors combine Winsor & Newton's tradition of excellence with modern production techniques. Rather than reducing pigment, Winton uses moderately priced pigments, including genuine cadmiums and cobalts, that deliver strong tint strength and coverage.
 
Most colors are ground in linseed oil. Exceptions include Pale Rose Blush and Titanium White, which use safflower oil for enhanced stability. Each color's formulation emphasizes the natural properties of its pigment, and all colors are either AA or A rated and recommended as permanent for artists' use. Though lighter in pigment load than Winsor & Newton Professional Oils, Winton outperforms many other artist-grade paints.
