Mitsumata has a naturally warm tone that is favoured by conservators for some repairs, as well as by printmakers for chine-colle. Shorter than kozo fibre, mitsumata fiber is not the best choice where strength is needed.

Cooked with soda ash and dried on stainless steel. Excellent for collage, drawing, layering, and pen & ink. Because sheets are made of unbleached natural fiber, some color variations occur from batch to batch. Meets standards of Heritage Washi.
