For nearly a century, Mitsubishi has offered the 9800 office pencil with very few updates to its product and package design. This pencil features some interesting design innovations and a striking bright blue color, which definitely caught our attention!

It's striking barrel color isn't just paint. It's a new antiviral coating called "Virus Block"  (hence the pencil's 9800VB product number). Virus Block coating was developed in collaboration by the  Tokyo Institute of Technology and Keio University. During lab testing, textiles coated in Virus Block carried 99% fewer viruses and fungi after an hour than untreated textiles, and 99.9% fewer after 24 hours.

With results like that, the 9800VB pencil is a great choice for public settings like schools and offices, where "free samples" of germs abound!
