For our September session, join plein air painter and instructor Scott Sullivan at the 37th Annual T.C. Steele Great Outdoor Art Contest, the oldest event of its kind in Indiana! This event is just one of many taking place during Brown County Art Colony Weekend, Sept. 12-14.
This special off-site class is part of our monthly oil painting series, offering real-world experience with the added benefit of instructor/guide!
Whether you’ve painted outdoors before or are brand new to plein air, you’ll gain insight into tools, composition, and responding to changing light with Scott's guidance, right alongside artists from across the region. We’ll meet at the T.C. Steele Historic Site on Saturday, Sept. 13, where gates open at 7 a.m. for canvas stamping before heading out to paint. Judging begins at 2 p.m., with awards announced at 3:30 p.m.
