About the event
Join us for a day-long interactive exhibit celebrating Give Your Word, an evolving collaborative book project by bookmaker and storyteller LuAnne Holladay, and an extension of the Give Your Word event we hosted in March 2025, where guests contributed their own words to anchor the project with a local voice.
Over the past year, pieces of a handmade book have traveled across the country, landing in the hands of artists, writers, and makers. Each contributor added words of their own, along with gestural marks and intuitive modifications such as stitching, stains, charms, and other personal interventions. The result is a richly layered, tactile record of collective authorship, intuition, and care.
This exhibit marks the one-year anniversary of the project and invites visitors deeper into its unfolding story. Throughout the day, you’re invited to view -- and even contribute to -- the assembled work. We'll enjoy short readings inspired by the project…
