Oil Explorations Continued
Whether you're continuing a recently begun journey or want to freshen up an ongoing practice, this two-class series will build on foundational skills and techniques to take your painted oil works to the next level. You'll explore the Zorn Palette approach and complete two still-life paintings!

About the event
This two-part series will be held at Rebecca Woodward's teaching studio, just a 10 minute drive from Bloomington Fine Art Supply.
Friday 1/31: Rebecca will begin with a demonstration at the easel and lead the class in a still-life setup and composition exercise. With her guidance, you'll explore color mixing based on the Zorn Palette, and create a swatched value scale specific to your subject, capturing the arrangement on your Gessobord to the extent time allows. Saturday 2/1: Students will begin by setting up their own still-life subjects and mixing a corresponding palette of colors with Rebecca's guidance. Once imagery and palette have been finalized, you'll begin building your composition on the canvas. After lunch, you'll continue to refine your work, and the class will reflect on their pieces individually before the session's conclusion.
